Paris six

Quatorze Julliet, the national holiday for the French. The day began quite beautiful but when we sat down for a picnic at Parc Monceau it started to rain.. A good alternative for rain is a museum and luckily Paris has enough of those. We visited Centre Pompidou, the largest museum of modern art in Europe. Again nice works of art and on top of that, a great panaromic view on the roof!

Paris cinq

Time moves fast, we're already married for one week now! On this rainy day we visited Montmartre with our umbrella's. The buildings in Paris are so beautiful with their little balconies and flowers :). We crossed the city to take a rest in Le Jardin du Luxembourg and later that day we crossed the city westward to Palais de Tokyo. This museum of modern art was such a relief after the Louvre, which of course is beautiful in its historical time span. Palais de Tokyo was so more interesting with its amazing spaces, modern works and free spirit! That night we found another good restaurant (in the rain): Soya.

Paris quatre

Last night there was such a long line at the Louvre that we decided to pay a visit today. I must say I mostly liked to see the apartments of Napoleon III.. Afterwards we went to Place des Vosges and found this 'poster'.. yes, even in Paris the sun is missing this summer.. In the Rue de Béarn we found this lovely café called Le Café Chinois. We ate a lovely curry here and if you're ever in Paris go visit this nice place!

A breakfast is never far away in paris, on every corner there is a little bakery that sells all kinds of bread and sweetness. This day we took it easy and went to Ile de la Cité, strolled around the Seine, came across these lovely Shakespeare bookshops down at the Latin Quartier and finally we ate a fantastic vegetarian pizza at our hotel: Mama Shelter

Paris deux

As always we can't take it slow the first day.. We dived in the city of love, took a walk on the viaduc des Arts with its beautiful flowers, visited the nicest neighbourhood of Paris (Le Marais), saw the Louvre from the outside, had a drink with the most beautiful view at the Eiffel tower, sat down with a lemon-poppy seed-cake at the Champs de Mars and finally we went back to Le Marais for dinner at Le Petit Dakar! What a day!

Day one of our honeymoon in Paris! We arrived in the evening so we ate a pizza and went for a small walk around the neighbourhood :) Nice street sights!
