a message from Germany and Russia

 

 

A new message from Casey and Dasha arrived at my door today. I love Casey's photos, she took them in London and Germany. Dasha's cards are wonderful, she wrote on the back that the cupid card is a vintage paper from the 1940's. Special mail, thank you both!

We have been in the kitchen all day to prepare the Christmas dinner. Everything turned out pretty well and we had a very nice time together. Hope you all have had a lovely Christmas time with your loved ones ♥ ★

Dear Eline surprised me with this beautiful book 'It chooses you' by Miranda July. She interviewed the people she found by reading the PennySaver. I love the stories these people tell and the memories they treasure.

When we were in Berlin M. bought me a Holga camera for my birthday! I love this little camera and luckily it shoots on 35 mm so it will be easy to buy new film and develop the film. The book by Sophie Blackall was sent to me by Rinske! It is a beautiful book with lovely drawings :) silent love.

A Christmas market in the city. They located it beautifully in the old post office and it was filled with music, people, large beers, fruits, sausages, bread and some clothes for last minute shopping :)

a message from Singapore and Finland

 

 

My doormat was filled with packages and letters when I came home. These are the first two I've opened for now. A beautiful letter from Corey (Singapore) with a really nice broche and a special video casette filled with cards, little presents and a letter from Elina (Finland)! Thank you guys so much! Receiving such beautiful mail is the best!

Time moves fast, our last day has arrived. We had breakfast in a sweet little place called Wahrhaft Nahrhaft. Another beautiful place! In Friedrichshain I found this fabric butcher (fashion studio) again. Last October I forgot to take a picture because I was so intriged by the fabrics! Funny and very nice. Goodbye Berlin, see you soon again ♥

Today I turned 26, hurray! We had breakfast in a little pink place down on Kastanienallee. Breakfasts are the best here in Berlin! Berlin is such an amazing city for photography, everything is worth a shot :) We went hunting for 35 mm film so we could use the Holga, I'm curious about the pictures. We went to KW today, we saw the exhibition called One on One. It was a bit weird but beautiful!
