happy new year!

We've celebrated new year's eve with friends in the city. Eating donuts and drinking champagne and lemonade. 2012 will be our year! Graduating and getting married! All the best for everyone.

On the last day, here in the Arden, only rain. We enjoy ourselves with tea, games, books and our plastic horses and dogs! Creating moments of plastic.

What a lovely day! Down at the zoo we spend our afternoon strolling around the park. There are quite a few baby's and all animals are quite active today. After 4 hours we went back home to our own little zoo! ''underneath our christmas tree''

On this Christmas eve we bring back memories. With the old movie projector on the table we're watching M's childhood movies on the wall! Only the sound of the projector ♥  We've spend our evening in the church for a change, like oldtimes when we were at elementary school.

a reading day

Vacation has started, now it is time for a book (no science please). I hope it'll be a good one! I heared this book 'The centenarian who climed out the window and disappeared' is funny and sweet. Just what I was looking for. Now a good morning with some tea and my book :)

25 on the 18th

Today I turned 25! Maarten gave me this fantastically cool new 'polaroid-like' camera from fuji! We celebrated my 25th with family and friends, so nice. Thank you all ♥

We were planning to do something nice together but instead we had breakfast with Bob in the city and presents needed to picked up as well. So no movie or great view but hanging out with friends at Hopper and Westerpaviljoen! Great (blue) day!

This sunday it'll be my birthday! Today I received my first birtday card from my grandmother. She always sends me cards with cats, so sweet! Thank you!!!

This week is a busy week for assignments and deadlines. My desk is getting messier every day. Just one more week untill vacation time!

I've found these two photo's on my computer, they're from last spring when I visited my grandfather. The gnomes are getting old. When I was a child my grandmother used to paint the gnomes so they'd look good. But actually I like them this way.

Incoming mail. Thank you Anna! She told me a beautiful story about her balcony with the view of the woods (picture) and the bike she's planning to buy.

sweet raspberry

While I started making my pumpkin-apple quiche I heard Jamie Oliver making a simple dessert with raspberries on tv! It sounded so good, I had to try. You have to build up a layer of crumbled pecannuts, oatmeal cookies, some melted butter and lemonzest. On top of that you can make a layer of lemon curd and raspberries. I used soy yoghurt and mixed it with vanilla essence and one tablespoon of icing sugar to finish the layer. Some cookie and nut crumble on top. Yes! It was very nice!
