celebration

This evening we had dinner at a small biological restaurant called Open together with M's parents. The food was really tasty :) They'd bought some sweet presents for us, for our wedding, our trip to New Zealand. A suitcase and all kind of convenient items like sunspray, books for on the airplane, a roadmap of New Zealand and a penknife :) It was a lovely evening.

final arts exhibition

In one of the warehouses at the docks of Rotterdam there was the final exhibition of the graduates of the arts acedemy 2012. Fine arts, fashion, illustration, audio visual, photography and graphic design were represented. We've seen some works that were great, some that weren't but it was nice to see all the products of the graduates. Funny to realize that what you see has been on someone's mind for so long and now it is finally here. To see, to be.

La Parade 02

On this very, very, very hot day we finally went to the Parade after watching the weather forecast all evening, checking if the thunderstorms they'd predicted would actually turn up.. It was a beautiful warm evening though. We'd seen the performance by Spinvis (which was so beautiful), had a ride in the giant stride and cooled ourselves with an Indian spice and passion fruit ice cream. Dear Parade, untill next year!

A new message has arrived from Rinske in a nicely coloured envelope :) I took it with me to work today!

La Parade 01

The first day at the Parade (theatre festival). The summer has begun! We drank a glass of Sangria, enjoyed the performance Hulphond and ate some bread with aioli :) The stands are all so colourful it is really such a nice festival! 

tea time

A nice cup of my favorite lemon tea in the evening with a magical movie on tv. It would be better if I read my book but this is a perfect night for a movie though.

structures

Now that I've gained some spare time and created more room in my head for new things I decided to set a different project for a certain time span. Everything can be so much prettier when you set yourself some goals or when you are actively doing some project you like. I'm not really sure what this is right now but I like these colours and the structures they've got.

My mom, dad and grandfather are proud of me, proud that I've finished my study. A sweet peacock card with good wishes and love. Edo and Christine also returned our little postcard! Just two more weeks now!

Moonrise Kingdom

Yesterday evenening we went to the movies since such a long time! I really love all Wes Anderson's movies! This one was also such a great pleasure to watch. Great music from Francoise Hardy (listen here beneath!)

a message from Russia

This afternoon a letter from Russia stranded on my doormat. It's been a while but what a lovely card and what lovely stories from her trip to Amsterdam :) I love the card. I imagine Russia to be very cold (in winter), beautiful historic Saint Petersburg, classical music and imposing buildings.

There goes my Bachelor Thesis! Good bye, I hope for ever. This means that that my school days are over. I can't wait for all the lovely days to come this summer, YES!
