This morning we went for a long walk to the Mastbos in Breda. I love the smell of autumn leaves and moss. It's beautiful out there, a great place to clear your head. 

the big renovation

My parents are renovating the attic in my grandfather's old farm house. It's looking fab!

stormy hours coming up

This morning you went surfing while I went shopping. A car boot sale down at the beach. Unfortunately there was a storm, hail, wind, rain.. no sunshine. I returned home with a firebasket, great!

A new Chance, last refill. One of my favorite perfumes. It's funny how memories can relate to a certain smell. This one has some great memories inside.

In about an hour The man who wasn't there of the Coen Brothers starts on tv. It's such a beautiful film with great black/white scenes.. I love it; can't wait!

not ready yet for autumn days

A cold wind through my hair, drops of rain, the clouds move around in the sky and the leaves are falling down on us. Autumn is almost ready.. though I'm not.

a weekend in the park

This weekend we're all enjoying our park! This is the third edition of Duizel in het park with great music, performances and nice rugs in the grass. Totally relaxed!

a message from Scotland

I love postcards. The handwriting, the address, the stamps and the way they are slighty folded during their trip. My grandmother visited Scotland this year. And as always she sends me postcards from her vacations. She wrote that she's eating in the pub (where dinner's good!) and that there was a great band playing at the streets of Edinburgh. Thank you.

ice tea and a healthy couscous breakfast

A refreshing ice tea, hoping it will be summer again...Starting the weekend fresh and fruity. The couscous breakfast is something I learned in New York at Rafaella On Ninth. Fruit, dates, nuts, cinnamon, honey and soy milk a great way to start the day!

nectar

My grandfather's garden is full with beautiful flowers, lovely colours and quite a lot of bumblebees in search of nectar. With his old Chevrolet cap on he tells us about the bumblebees. They live underground, he said. 

sweethearts

Little sweethearts with golden noses and soft furs. They never sit next to eachother in our kitchen window but if there's something exciting happening outside.. they will!
